Tri-Rail Train Hits 18-Wheeler
No one ever expects to get into an accident. The very nature of such an event makes it a complete surprise to everyone involved. While insurance is a great thing to have, it doesn’t always pay for everything, which is why it is so important to find an attorney who can get adequate compensation to cover the costs insurance misses.
There were major delays in the train schedule in Pompano Beach after a Tri-Rail train hit a tractor trailer in March, near Atlantic Boulevard and Andrews Avenue.
The northbound train ran into the trailer just after 4 in the afternoon, according to a Tri-Rail spokesperson. There were about 200 people on the train, with only one injured in the collision. The injuries were judged to be minor and the victim was taken to the hospital. The truck driver remained unhurt.
The Tri-Rail was out of commission for some time due to damage to the crossing arms, but the train was able to move slowly soon after the accident. This forced a slowdown of all other trains using those tracks, causing delays for travelers until repairs could be affected. Traffic in the area was tied up as well.
