Cyclist Struck by Possible Hit and Run Driver Near 10th Avenue

A cyclist was injured in Miami early on Monday morning after they were struck by another vehicle.

According to an article that appeared on the Miami CBS Local website, police are currently investigating the crash that occurred at NW 29th Street and 10th Avenue. Authorities say that the crash happened at approximately 5:00 a.m.

The victim was transported to Ryder Trauma Center. So far, neither the victim’s identity nor their current condition has been released.

Investigators have not said whether the driver in the accident stayed on the scene of the accident after the crash.

If the driver did leave the scene of the crash, the penalties are very serious. If you are ever involved in an accident, no matter who is at fault, you should immediately stop your vehicle and render aid if possible if someone is hurt. The law in the state of Florida also requires you to stay at the scene of an accident until you are released by law enforcement officers. Accidents involving bicycles and motor vehicles can be extremely serious. If someone does leave the scene of an accident, it can result in up to 30 years in prison if someone at the scene dies as the result of the injuries they sustained in the crash.
