Two Dead In I-75 Crash
The state of Florida has seen more than 250,000 traffic incidents so far in 2018. So far there have been more than 159,000 of those which have resulted in injury and more than 1,800 deaths.
Unfortunately, there will now be two more fatalities can be added to the total number of deaths for this year. According to a story that was reported on the CBS local station in Miami, a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 in Davie has left 2 people dead last Saturday morning.
In a statement, the Florida Highway Patrol said that the accident happened at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and involved a total of five vehicles; thee cars, a tractor-trailer, and an SUV. A spokesperson with the FHP said that two women in one of the vehicles were killed in the crash.
Investigators have not said how many others may have also been injured in the multi-vehicle accident or their current condition. The Florida Highway Patrol shut down all northbound lanes of the I-75 for a number of hours to investigate the fatal crash. The northbound lanes were reopened once more at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Authorities have not released the names of the injured or the deceased in the accident.
