Two Dead After Dump Truck Crash
Two people have been killed in an accident that happened when the vehicle they were driving slammed into the back of a dump truck.
According to authorities, Damian Toraine Sibblies was driving northbound on Interstate 95 at a high rate of speed along with her passenger, Christina Evelyn-Marie Ramirez. The vehicle slammed into the back of Yoel Camacho’s dump truck.
Sibblies and Ramirez were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Authorities reported that Sibblies was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Camacho, the driver of the dump truck had no injuries from the crash.
Every year thousands of accidents are caused by people travelling at a higher rate of speed than is considered safe, while travelling at a safe speed could have saved lives. Other factors contributing to the accident could rest with owners of larger vehicles. A non-working tail or brake light or any number of factors could have caused the crash. More than likely, it will be up to investigators and the courts to determine just who was at fault.
