Convicted Man Asks To Be Released, Pending SentenceSandor Guillen, thirty nine years old, has been convicted of DUI manslaughter after driving the wrong way up Southwest 184th Street. He drove his Range Rover into the minivan being driven by Mr. Camacho in which his two daughters were passengers. Kaely Camacho, who was thirteen, was killed; her father and sister were both injured. Guillen appeared in court Wednesday to request that he be released from jail while waiting the terms of his sentence. The judge denied his request.

“I’m shocked that they would even ask for that.” said Angela Camacho, Kaely’s mother.

Guillen has begun the process of appealing his conviction and his attorney is planning on filing a motion for a new trial.
