Truck Falls Over Embankment In Golden Glades
For anyone who has been in an accident or needed help, whenever a Good Samaritan shows up, it can be especially reassuring. That sort of kindness is what may have saved a young woman’s life after her pickup truck plunged over a guardrail in Miami Gardens.
According to a news story which appeared on the CBS Local Miami website, the accident happened on the on-ramp to the Florida Turnpike from the northbound lanes of I-95 at the Golden Glades interchange just before 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The red pickup truck went over the embankment and flipped, leaving a trail of debris behind before coming to rest in a mangled heap.
After witnessing the crash and expecting the worst, a Good Samaritan driver immediately called 911. The woman, who did not wish to be identified then stayed with the female driver until help arrived. By 8:00 a.m. Miami-Dade fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene of the crash.
“I couldn’t leave her like that,” said the Good Samaritan driver. “I’m a human being. We’re all human beings, you know.”
The female driver of the pickup truck was transported to Aventura Trauma Center for treatment. No word has been released on her current condition.
