Man Pinned by Bulldozer in Fort Lauderdale

An on the job accident occurred on a construction site at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Officials said that the accident happened on the future site of a new runway when a worker ended up pinned between a bulldozer and his vehicle Tuesday afternoon. The victim was transported to nearby Broward Health Medical with a non-life-threatening back injury. His identity and his current condition have not been released. Nobody goes to work with the notion that they may possibly be hurt on the job. Even when a company and their employees take every precaution possible, accidents on the job can happen. In the state of Florida, if you are injured at work you are covered regardless of who was at fault for your injury. Florida law states that you only need to show that you got hurt while doing something work related and during work hours. This means that for workman’s compensation, you are typically covered if you suffered your accident on the job.
