Family Turns to MADD after Dual Drunk Driving Deaths

download (47)People move on after being a drunk driving victim in many ways. Sometimes people join organizations against drunk driving to keep the memories of loved ones alive. One man in Miami was in the news due to his efforts in this way.

Seven months ago, a man lost his 81-year-old mother to an alleged drunk driver. His daughter was also affected by drunk driving after she lost a good friend in a DUI crash. The driver in that crash has been charged with DUI manslaughter.

To deal with the aftermath, the man’s company is joining Mothers Against Drunk Driving to help them with this year’s Walk Like MADD event. According to the family, MADD reached out to them as soon as they heard about what had happened. The family was very appreciative of their support and now they want to give back.
