Bus Accident on the Florida Turnpike
One person was injured and taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident involving a bus full of children in Southwest Miami-Dade County last week.
According to police, the accident occurred just after 8:00 a.m. on the Florida Turnpike near Southwest 152nd Street when a red truck struck a KinderCare bus carrying adults and children.
The truck driver was injured in the accident and was transported by ambulance to Jackson Memorial Hospital South. No word on his condition has been released.
No adults or children on the KinderCare bus were injured in the accident.
The students on board the bus were taken either to an area school or back to KinderCare facility where they were picked up by parents.
Even in an accident such as this one when no children are hurt, being in an accident can still have a lasting and traumatic effect on children as well as on their families. The added stress or any injuries that are discovered later can leave families facing both emotional and financial difficulties. Having an attorney to represent them in such a situation is important.
